Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yeah, stayed at Culra bothy a couple of times, fantastic location. Unfortunately now a condemned building due to asbestos being found - think it's left open for emergency use, but not supposed to be a planned stopping place any more.

Day 4, 28/282 complete, further 9 planned for today.

First 5 relatively straightforward, the 2 at Roughburn, and stay high heading over to the Creag Meagaidh 3.

Then be interesting to see how he heads to the Laggan/Newtonmore ones - does he drops back down to main road for a few miles on the bike, or stays high on foot across a few miles of I'm guessing pathless terrain. Absolutely terrible weather might influence his decision ?
Might get a bit of a clue later when we see where the campervan tracker's parked, but for now Rachel's headed back to Fort William, and looks to be stocking up in Morrisons :-)

Day 4 in the bag for Donnie. All reports seem to suggest the weather has been horrible and a tweet from Rachel said he was solo all day but she'd met him at lunchtime (presumably where his route touched the minor road at Garva Bridge as he crossed the Spey) with dry clothes and lunch (looks like he also got a mile or so on the bike). Shorter day tomorrow of 7 Munros either side of the A9 between Drumochter and Newtonmore and then a big day in the Cairngorms on Thursday with 12 Munros. Scary that even on his schedule there are still 29 days left!

And I've lost count already because today was Day 5 not Day 4!! So only a mere 28 days left 😂

He's doing the first four today in the opposite order to how they are listed but that's seems to make for a better flow and transition across the A9 plus it cuts out a little bit of cycling down the A9 this morning.

Day 5, 37/282 complete, further 7 planned for today.

Going to be a nice relatively short day for him today.

He'll no doubt have a bike waiting at the bottom of the last one Meall Chuaich, for a nice cycle back to the road ( decent track that one ) then about 25 miles or so on the roads round to Glen Feshie, and as you said above another biggie tomorrow with 12 Cairngorms.

From his update on FB, hope this doesn't impact things :

Right tibialis anterior tendon was not happy today which is a bit concerning.
