That shuffle used to be so much easier when the Glen Ogle 33 race started in Stratheyre. Having Glen Ogle as a descent after 20+ miles was brilliant. Having to run up it after 26 miles is tough work!

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Some extremely untypical, but very impressive, thunder and lightning just now at this end of the Highlands. Also a tropical deluge a little earlier. Hope Donnie gets better weather.

Been sunny all day in Killin, no rain, very muggy - wouldn't fancy 12+ hours in the hills in those conditions ( especially following a 16+ hour day ).
Hope he's finding plenty water in the burns, he must be drinking gallons. He's just reaching the final one for today now, another 12 ticked off

57.5 Degrees of Pain
It was warm and muggy Sunday at sea level, but really windy on the tops at Drumochter.

Donnie's a Salomon sponsored athlete, and Salomon have put something up on their FB feed.
Interesting they've said he's attempting it over 36 days, whereas Donnie's schedule in the tracker is 33 days. A mistake by Salomon, or is Donnie planning some rest days at some point ? I think it might be a translation things, but what they've written about the bike and kayak reads quite strange :
"Donnie Campbell is attempting the self propelled Munro round where he will be running every Munro in Scotland (282) over 36 days covering 1,426km with 121,709m of ascent. Not only that but Donnie will be cycling and kayaking from each Munro!
Donnie is aiming to set a new fastest known time of 36 days on the Munro round."

No signal from the tracker from over 3 hours, so no idea how things are going

First cracks appearing in the schedule today, not sure if injury getting worse, the very warm and muggy weather, or just cumulative fatigue.
9 planned for today, but he bailed out after number 7, Ben Challum, dropping down to the van in Strathfillan.
Tomorrow was going to be a "short" day with just 3 ( Ben Chonzie, Ben Vorlich and Stuc a'Chroin ) so will he try and add the 2 he missed onto that, or use up one of the spare days in his schedule ?
Maybe Salomon were on to something after all ( see 2 posts above ) !

A good day's work from Donnie today to get back on the schedule. Out before 6am to knock off the missed 2 from yesterday Sgiath Chuil and Meall Glas before 8.30am. Then on with today's three now back on the bike alongside Loch Earn heading back up Glenogle to presumably overnight somewhere closer to Bridge of Orchy (maybe 90-120 mins on the bike if he goes all the way?). Decent day tomorrow, 9 Munros in two groups with a short bike transition in between and not far to go at the end to get under Ben More for Saturday.

Impressive - fully back on track with the cycle to Bridge of Orchy too, arriving about 10 minutes ago. Really hope that the biking segments today will have allowed the tendonitis to have a least a bit of a rest.
