Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

The lets motivate each other to do our strength and core work thread...

6pm on a Friday is ideal Lili. You can go to it before pub/night out and feel virtuous. Or instead of, and then go home and slob out and feel virtuous. Either way, you are virtuous! :-)G

Classes:
Pilates, we've talked about. Ditto yoga. Ditto body balance.

Bodypump (my fave). Mooosic!
Zumba - my missus loves that one. And it definitely works core. Not if you don't love dancing though (I was the only bloke in a class of 20 odd ladies).

Spin can do core too (our class has you up and out of your seat doing one arm, one leg things). Music and high energy too, so fun.
Aqua workout (again my missus does this one) - excellent resistance and core work, but gentle on joints (runners obv having bashed knees, ankles, hips from all that hoooge mileage you do).
Circuits. A bit too tough on legs for my liking, but lots of folk love them.
Abs. Obv. Bums, tums n thighs (never done it, but must be good?)

Go on, classes, give 'em a go. :-)G

Surely not all of the Zumba ladies were "odd"?

ran and did some strength stuff today - rowing, curl & military press, pressups, squatting sideways shuttles (from one of the vids from the same people as core h) and pull ups. no core as such. might do core h tomorrow morning, but probably won't.

mrs L has a zumba wii thing. I can't do the dancing ones, no timing or coordination. :-)

No core again for me today but I had a cracking run. I'm feeling virtuous anyway. Next core session scheduled for Saturday after parkrun.

Ooh, get me, after yesterday's lunch time run, on way home, dived into gym and did 750m swim and 40 mins weights n core. Get in! (This is meant to be the motivation thread, not the smug b*ggers thread, innit? I'll get my coat!) :-)G
