As Vixx stated, the website now says that the system is down for 12 hours as the server can't cope with all the information coming it's way. If I remember correctly, when I first signed up, Laz stated on the website that initially, they were hoping to get between 200 to 500 entrants. It's now over 17,000.
I'm keeping a log of my daily mileage, just in case things do go wrong, but, I suppose at the end of the day, part of our entry fee goes to a good cause. The bonus is it's keeping me motivated to get out the door & run.
I've been taking part in the fake parkrun's, but I must admit, it's been hard going.
Finally, I am to computers, what Theresa May is to heavy welding. NDWDave, how did you get your name & number on your bib? I can only get one or the other. It's all beyond me I'm afraid. I take it, it's something to do with reducing the font size? All help gratefully received.
Eight mile run & a three mile walk logged today.

Those of you who registered after 1 May: are you doing what the site suggests and ignoring May miles run prior to the time/date of your registration?
I know it's "only a game" and I know there are no rules police, but I am going to be pushed to complete this and I'm wondering whether adding 23 early-May miles might just make a difference!

Hello Synge, yes, I'm following the rules. I could add a few more miles before I registered, but hey, at the end of day, quoting that famous expression from "One flew over the cuckoo's nest." "At least I had a go."
To be honest, & please, don't take this the wrong way. I'd feel a fraud if I claimed the medal knowing I'd "massaged" my miles run.

I've already admitted I bent the rule: I signed up on 4th May, and added both that day's run and the one I'd done on the 3rd 🤫
I can face myself with that but your conscience is your own...
12barDavid: I'm tagging my runs in Fetch (using "tennessee") so it's easy to see the total of runs (and walks probably) that are towards this.
All: just logged in with GeoFit... Nice 👍

Thanks, 12bar - certainly no offence taken, after all I asked the question knowing it's not the approach the organiser wants. I was just interested to see what Fetchies are doing in relation to this. Thanks for your response!
