Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Max height is about 6’5

Also supposedly “giant” variety but didn’t get as big as last year (either height or flower diameter)

Mine are all short...but still alive! For me, that is a win - two years in a row! :)

I saw first signs of yellow with mine over the weekend. I have about 10 plants in total, all fairly close to each other. They’re no more than 3ft at the moment, but feel relatively sturdy.

Very good Nightjar and not even looking like flowering yet. What enormous flowers, Pothunter! My biggest have reached the apex of the greenhouse, so I guess I'll nave to put them outside and hope for the best. The ones I planted out are maybe only three feet tall.

Scrolling back to last year’s entries I’ve got one dated 28 July saying it was nudging 9ft and just budding! A later entry says the largest flower diameter was about 30cm (1ft).

This year’s efforts have peaked way earlier.

Good efforts, but how will they look in September when the measurement day is ;-)

Seriously though, top growing people :-)

Mine are about 5 feet tall at the moment with no flowers. However, they are about to be left to their own devices for 2 weeks so who knows where they'll be when I get back

Haven't measured mine, but they're mostly around the 5ft mark. The (not-giant, not-yellow) ones I grew for cut flowers are producing lots of very nice flowers - good mix of shades too.

I have 3 left. Two about 3 foot, 1 nearly 4....they have buds forming so some way to go. I wonder if I kick off too early as now that the weather has warmed up they look happy.....
