Hendo reminded me earlier about race momentos, whilst he was fannying about with FE mugs. Anyway... what we could do with, is some sort of Mick and Phil logo, which we could use on any medal, mug etc (and I could also make use of it on their website). I was thinking some sort of stylised outline of the lads, arms aloft. Any graphics folks care to put their hands up for this one?

Fannying? FANNYING?!
Okay fair enough.
What we need is someone who is a whizz with pooters and photoshop and what have you - must be relatively straightforward to get a line drawing outline using that? I'd have thought.

Finally recieved a reply from Amy Whitehouse (not Winehouse):
I believe that Ian has sent you a price list for track hire but unfortunately we are unable to offer any discount. (booooo hisss )
I hope that the event is successful.
Kind regards
Amy

Dunno if this has already been touted around but near to me is a railway track that has been converted into a cycle path. As far as I know its about 9 miles long. If a cycle path of similar description could be found then the need for road closures and all that nonsense goes away.
Mind you if you were going to use the Garston - Aintree line you'd need someone to sweep all 9 mines of broken glass
Just a thought.

bloody hell form , this is something!!!
( Roger Wilkes - Kenilworth runners ) he organises the Draycote run, the 26 and 35 miles we've just done
200 over that 4.75 miles traffic free loop was pretty good
i'm sure we could fit 500 in there
make it say 3 + bit laps for HM,
we cam make that over there in 1.50 odd , that's not race pace
BUT it's OFF the public highway

Mick - Draycote did strike me as pretty much an ideal location for this event subject to your approval and not minding going back there.
