Have been emailed the price list for tracks at:
Cadwell Park Bedford Autodrome Brands Hatch
Oulton Park Snetterton
Will happily forward the email on to his lordship if he fmails me his email addy as they alter monthly.
Also recieved the following reply which i am a bit perplexed about:
Thank you for your enquiry. I’ve attached the track hire price list for you. However, itt is Motorsport Vision policy that all charity requests are handled by the office of our Chief Executive, Jonathan Palmer. I have therefore forwarded your mail to Amy Whitehouse (email: amy.whitehouse@motorsportvision.co.uk ) who is one of JP’s personal assistants. I’m sure she will be in touch in due course.
Quite why its a charity request when we would be paying for the track i dunno. I presume this is Jonathon Palmer of F1 fame and i had to triple check as my initial reaction was what the hell has it got to do with Amy Winehouse. Poor woman must hate her name now.

Nice one CY My email address is ian@fetcheveryone.com - send stuff through
The folks at Silverstone wanted £22k, so that's completely out, but there are plenty of other irons in the fire.

Anyone know how much it costs to close a road or two? Do you have to pay for it, policing etc? £100 to hire a village hall (plus another £500 for the cleaning bill) and Bob's your uncle.

i think the answer is lots nightjar - plus all the advance notices, signage, marshalling, notification of residents...you need a big field to afford that.
it is far easier to organise on private roads.
