Meanwhile, back in darkest Much Wenlock, I'm down an alleyway where the Google Streetview don't go! The pic of the area around it look pretty though. And it is such a brilliantly named place too.

Chrisity May 2021 8:32am, 19 May 2021 18,954 posts	0 Chrisity Tempted to stay here for another night, last minute £69 for a double room in the 4 star grade II listed Mytton and Mermaid. Mytton seems to be a local hamlet named after the Mytton family. The hotel was the Talbot Arms and the Berwick Arms before the rename in the 1930's, Mermaid presumably from its location on the banks of the River Severn. However only 4 miles to Shrewsbury Castle, onwards and upwards (it's a tall castle).
