Rode Dalby red this weekend seeing I was up there working. Crikey, that’s showing its age, and not particularly well. Proper old school bit of pleasant singletrack and then some very boring fire road. Repeat.

Used to really like Dalby, back when we lived near York. Pretty sure the very boring fire road was always part of the"experience". I’d probably struggle to do it justice these days (yes, the firetrack! ;) )

I had also done racing, thank you Catherine 😂

I’m not sure how you would do justice to Dalby. But that’s what trail centres were like when it was built. And also what expectations were like. We were looking at the features on the World Cup course built for 2010 with one of the people who put on that race and musing how things have changed, including bikes, expectations and skill levels.
