I use a mix of webbing straps and bungees to secure my bike in the back of the Landrover.

If there’s a couple of bikes we use old sheets/blankets and sometimes off cuts from old foam sleeping mats to keep them from rubbing.

Chucking it in the van was supposed to less faff than the bike rack. I CBA taking a wheel off (not quick release) to secure it. I’ll experiment with straps/bungees.

I tried using bungees (2 for a pound from poundland) and wheeling it into the back of the campervan last week. Worked a treat.

I've only got seats in the front Gobi. I'll have a play when I pick the van up on Friday. I'm sure I'll work it out.

I used to just bungee it to the side of the van. More than one bike: blanket and or old sleepingbag between, tie both of them to the side.
