That was horrendous... so cold that when we got home my hands warmed up too quickly and I was crying in agony... the bikes and all our kit were filthy and muddy. There'd better be some bloody summer smiles after that ride..!!!

Ouchy - we did a cold one too, wind was howling, however - apart from the last wet track the worst and coldest bit was hosing the bikes off at the end! Great to see the daffs and snowdrops and baby cows and sheepies though - spring is on it's way :)

Skilz day at Greno today. Lots of fun sessioning stuff and bombing down Steel City. We appeared to be a) the only women and b) the only ones of hardtails. One nice young man in enduro wanker kit did stop to check we were ok because he'd seen us with a multitool messing with one of the bikes. My friend pointed out to him that not only was I a mechanic I'd built both bikes, and yes we were absolutely fine. Love a bit of thoughtful mansplaining.

He also recommended some videos we could watch on technique (he hadn't seen us ride).

It was awesome fun. I spend my time tricking my friend's middle aged head into riding stuff it would rather not, and she takes pictures.

I took my lightweight hardtail out on Cyprus roads yesterday. I do heart that bike. I might rest my road bike for a while and use this bike instead if I'm heading out on the road...

Last day of MTB skool was cancelled yesterday due to the weather - it was supposed to be a full day's guided ride on Dartmoor (with a cheesey chip lunch, obvs.) So, instead, we did this :)

Since the last appearance of Kaph, some time ago... there are now three wheel sizes, and now new plus (+) tyres for the even more adventurous!

26 / 27.5 (650b) / 29 / 27.5+ (650b+) / 29+ / fat
whatever you ride, enjoy it :)

Gravel also welcome :)

Also, is 26 dead yet?
