Anyone else been taking part in the Octopus "big dirty turn down" trials? We're scheduled for one tomorrow where we usually use 0.36kWh of electricity, so need to shave off 0.14kWh of consumption to hit their 40% reduction target. And bank a whole 5p of saving It was a bit easier overnight where they needed a turn down between 00:00 and 02:00 - I just deferred the car to start charging from 02:00 instead of from 00:30. |

Quiase Energy is drilling 20km down to make use of Geothermal Energy. quaise.energy Whaddya think? Could this lead to cooling the earth's core in the long term if this is successful as more countries will want this....

I don't know about cooling but other unforeseen destabilising effects rf? Highly possible. The planet is a machine too complex for us to model. I was worried when I first read about this.
