Enjoying the sunshine today, housework the AWFUL 10 miles yesterday, 8.27 mins er mile average but felt much slower. I couldn't have run a half marathon yesterday, never mind a full one. Hoping for a spurt of enery before next sunday - oh and cooler weather!!!

Well done to all Brighton Marathon runners today xx

Weather forecast is looking good for VLM. 8 degrees! :-) Mind you a lot can change in 7 days. I only did 6 miles this weekend, I've been feeling very tired so decided less is more!

8degC will be perfect. Having said that, I very much enjoyed my evening run in the sun today - took it easy and rather surprised to find I averaged 7:51mpm over just under 9 miles when I looked at Garmin on return. Have heard a number of people say they find the taper hard to cope with, but I'm enjoying running for the joy of running for a change, rather than doing the next session in the plan. A few niggles in the legs, but I'm starting to feel that I'll be OK on the day now after the injury break.

Vicksta, shame Jon and Alex will not be at Fetchpoint, but quite understand why... my family will also be watching on TV, though a number of friends should be at various points on the route.

Afternoon all, had a cracking 8 miles on Saturday morning, and looking forward to a few short runs this week. Expo on Wednesday evening then counting down to the big day.

Have entered for Brighton next year :-) and will be entering balot for VLM, seriously thinking about trying to do both IF I get into London again!

Good luck everyone, see you in 6 days

Paced a girl from work in a 10k yesterday see did a PB in 50 mins, would have been faster but it was 23 in the sun and people dropping out like flys, what a diffrence a day makes nice 5 miles this morning with 3 miles 10 seconds faster than MP nice and cool. Taper kicks in big time now.......

Here's hoping it stays cool for next Sunday. If it's as hot at Brighton was yesterday I'm staying at home! I can't go through that again... ;-)
