No amount of guilt will have me swimming. Have run and biked today, though.

I actually like swimming, it's usually just the thought of it which puts me off. And I'm rubbish at it, and I hate crowded pools. But give me a nice empty pool and I enjoy it. I once swam 90 lengths and only stopped cos they chucked me out. Perhaps 100 should be a 2016 goal.

You're better than me by a long way. I never learned when I was a kid because my eyesight was so bad I couldn't see what they were telling me to do with my limbs. Finally learned aged 30 after buying some prescription goggles, which weren't perfect but at least I could make out what was going on. Never really got the hang of anything but breaststroke, though, still haven't got the hang of front crawl breathing. One of my colleagues offered to teach me (she teaches special needs children to swim in her spare time), never got round to it before she moved onto another job unfortunately.

I swim terribly, never stick my head under the water but I still enjoy it. I could get lessons but I figure I'm so inefficient it must be a great workout :)

I have swim. The pool was almost empty. We had a lane each. I am going to set up the swim the length of the Thames challenge 2016 over the holiday.

Raptors Claws are coming to town
I mostly hate swimming, except for now and again, usually in the winter, when I have a little flurry of swimming that lasts a few weeks and then stop again for months on end. I'm having a little swimming phase now.

The adults-only sessions at the pool I go to rarely have more than half a dozen people swimming. It's not a huge pool (20 metres, 4 lanes) but it's still uncrowded. I might go again tomorrow, if I make good progress with the parcels tonight.

I've turbo'd. I really, really, really hate the turbo. Especially mine, because the resistance is so high that it's like riding into the wind or up a sneaky little gradient for the entire session and every imaginary mile takes just to one side or the other of five minutes no matter how hard I work. But I'm only 22 miles off my target for the month now. Two hours on the turbo. I can do that.

Shark the Herald Angel
I'm the most rubbish swimmer in the world. I've never swum further than one length. I love water and the sea but swimming seems such a faff.
