Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Any other non-marathon runners planning to do a parkrun on the Saturday before? Or indeed marathon runners, if you're particularly hardcore! I was thinking of doing either Greenwich or Dartford but could easily be persuaded to go elsewhere if there's company to be had.

Well done Barky. My last LR also done this morning! Not as successful as I hoped but it's done! 31km instead of the 35km I intended but after 2 really bad sleepless nights and a poor choice of breakfast I didn't have much left today. I'm hoping I've done enough!!😕

How do we know what our runners all look like? How do we spot you if you're not in Fetch gear?

Speedy - I think runners usually post a photo of themselves in their planning VLM gear so we know how to recognise them! Kwala may send a request out soon, or maybe will ask Team Captains to do it - I'll make sure we know what everyone is going to be wearing etc!

some teams like to have photos of their runners in their gear to help them look out for them but personally I find everything just a blur on the day, so it doesn't really help me that much. I leave it up to captains to decide what they prefer. There is somewhere on the spreadie that the runners can put kit details.

Also, in the past we've had the runners projected finishing times so we can get things ready at roughly the right time

My last long run didn't work out. Intended to do 22 miles but the knee made me give up at 14. Feeling quite doubtful now. Will give it one complete week of rest and see how it feels next Sunday.

I'm pleased Barky and Murphey are holding up the fort. Well done.
