And if the runners put their nos on the spreadsheet, then we should be able to track their progress on the app.

I'd quite like a pic of each runner in their planned VLM strip just to let me know who I'm looking out for, although I agree with Kwala that it can all turn into a bit of a blur on the day! Projected finishing times are always very useful - but haven't used the 'app' before, and as a bit of an old technophobe I will probably need some instructions to make use of it!

Whiteflash - let's hope your week of rest does the trick!
Schnecke - I'm pretty much wearing what I'm wearing in my profile/avatar photo. I'll also be wearing a bottle carrier around my waist but that's only going to bed noticeable from the back once I've run past!

In the past we have missed Redhead who was quite distinctive in that she was covered in knitting and balls of wool as she was going for the "knitting while running a marathon" World Record (which she did break ). And I didn't spot a friend of mine a couple of years ago who had a giant teddy bear strapped on her back, until she'd gone by!!! So if we managed to miss them, we can miss anyone!!!!! While we will always do our best to spot you, a shout or wave from the runners as you go by can make all the difference!!

When I'm running I always wave like a mad thing when I go past at 13 in the hopes that folks will remember me as I go by at 22 by which time I may not have enough energy to wave

Yes - very true Kwala. It is much easier for the runners to spot us than for us to spot you amongst all the other thousands of runners! So PLEASE do give us a wave and a shout if you can - and stop for a hug/jelly baby/kick up the @rse dependent upon your needs at the time If you just need to keep going and don't want to stop (and I didn't want to stop at 22 miles when I ran it - I was afraid I'd never get started again if I did) then we will, of course, understand and promise not to be offended!:-)

I am probably not going to stop. Mostly because by that stage I'm really not going to know where I am, what I'm doing and quite who I am, but if I do stop and I stay too long a kick up the @rse might be required!

Last long run ticked off this morning. I have to say I cannot wait for the taper. I am going to taper the arse out of it in the next couple of weeks. I am planning to tear the taper a new one.
I will be wearing my Fetch anniversary vest on the day by the way. That and a very pained expression I imagine.
