Oh and I do use loose leaf green tea and I also actually grow a lot of herbal teas myself and make herb mixes for brewing. I have several ways of dealing with that, from a traditional seive, through to one of those modern glass tea pots with a built in strainer. I also have a modern design single cup that has a two part bottom. If you lean the cup to one side, the tea brews with the loose leaves in a little basket fixed on one side, then you rock/tumble the cup over once you feel it has finished brewing. Very natty! I never use the tea egg and tea spoon any more!

Shocking. I had a tea from a Costa machine (once) and it was rank. I suspect that might have been made with these ‘granules’

Thanks swittle - that's the stuff.
That looks good Sigh.
Fresh ginger currently. Couldn't find my usual brand in the supermarket so got a bit of root and sliced - works just as well and possibly cheaper - just need to experiment with the amount.
