3½ miles to go. Suddenly realised that I'm not as comfortably "in there" as I thought. Best pull my finger out.

Should be comfortably do-able before the turkey though, eh Angus?

Good to bank the miles before xmas though. If your local pool is anything like mine, it's almost impossible to go swimming over the xmas week as it's only open for limited hours.

Determined to get it done. Just need to focus and not let it drift (see what I did there?) :)

So here is the challenge for this evening:

The office car park will be a nightmare to get out of because of late night shopping. It might take up to an hour to get out onto the road.

I can walk to the pool in Colchester and swim and by the time I get back the car park will be clear. It's a ten minute walk BUT the changing rooms for the Fitness Pool are being refurbished. I'll need to change in the leisure pool changing rooms and walk, in my trunks, through reception, up the stairs and through to the fitness pool to swim, then back, dripping wet.

Alternatively I can take my chances with the car park and drive to the pool near home. it will take about an hour to drive to from work (the commute home is 45-55 minutes anyway) once I get out of the car park and swim there where the changing room situation is a bit more civilized.

Not sure I can face the walk through reception, but I'm also not sure I want to sit in the car park for all that wasted time.

What to do? What to do?

Walk through reception, take a towel, pop on side of pool, dry off after, wrap round and walk back to get changed!

The logic of your suggestion makes me feel a little silly Daz.

Thanks.
