Mr W found out from a passing comment, as he was At School, Teaching, when it was announced. Fun times.

I'm having a day off tomorrow. I work an LEA Officer type contract, and this is my first day of booked annual leave this year. I carried much of last year's leave allowance over, too.
Whatever knee jerk reaction Williamson is making can jolly well wait! I'll do it when the site is empty next week!

Oh joy! Two members of staff have just returned positive tests... Now, did I spend any time with either of them in the last two days of term? Can't remember. Fortunately, the local authority if offering the lateral flow tests to NHS/key workers/school staff, and I've already got mine booked.

Mine was fine. Just heard today another 3 staff members now positive. That's 5 in a week.

LouiseRuns - that's not good news.
Currently advertising some PhD studentships for an Oct start. Applications open on the 13th Jan, but I've already had an email asking whether they can apply early despite noting that applications aren't open yet. I'm so tempted to tell them they've failed the first test, basic reading comprehension.

Anyone else spending their NYE drafting letters to parents, setting up consent forms, setting up vulnerable kids lists etc.?
