This is your ultimate glorious failure. Here I am with 10 to 20 metres to go and the line in sight. I have 9secs to get across the line and what do I do, I COLLAPSE. Ran really well up to 20miles then gradually slowed down. Probably ran too quick between Halfway and 20miles. The last km was the most surreal experience in my life and was a total blur. I cannot even remember going thru the Brandenburg gate. When I passed out just before the finish a steward picked me up and I somehow staggered across the line at which point 4 first aiders carried me off.
I should be gutted but to be honest I am extremely proud. I know in my head that I totally flogged myself to the point where I blacked out.
From a racing point of view I would strongly recommend Berlin and I put it up there on par with London Just have to start making plans for my next sub 3 attempt. Sorry to all those who bet on me. Hard luck, Twopies. Great effort though - as you say, you can hardly have given more!!

Twopies- great drama (I heard on the radio last night of great things at Berlin, and thought you were going to get a mention in despatches. However it was some bloke called Hayley (I think). He must have been doing the half marathon though as he took just under 2:04).
If you were helped across the finish line, Pietri Dorandi- style (see London olympic marathon, 1908), does that mean you will be disqualified?
I know what you mean about feeling like you gave it all you had. There will always be another race, and you know you can do it.
Your pacing looks pretty consistent, if slightly fast at the start. Hard not to though, on a big occasion.

For training programmes you have 3 simple choices: 1 - RW sub 3:00 schedule. (see RW website) 2. Hal Higdon "advanced II" schedule 3. Pfitzinger & Douglas
There are others, but to me these 3 contain the essential elements of a good programme.
1. the weekly LSR, that grows to 20 / 22 miles 2. one intervals session each week (Tues) 3. one fast tempo run each week (Thurs) 4. the mid-week medium long run (Wed) - missing from my sessions 5. the 2-3 week taper
Look at them all; make your own mind up; look at your own commitments and fitness. Try them. Tailor them. Find what works for you.
This marathon malarkey is certainly far from straightforward, but you won't go far wrong IMHO if you absorb the schedule and writings of the 3 programmes set out above.
