Don’t panic, ideas will happen, plans will form. I reckon lots of us HAVE to find new ways of doing things, so we can try and turn them into positives ( get me, Pollyanna rides again)

Do you miss that, Ness? Or is it a relief? Is running still important to you? Without races what motivates you? Can you make it better, more enjoyable in some way?

Good question, Sharkie. I have been able to keep running during lockdown. In fact, my mileage has increased but I miss the social aspects of races. I do hope to restart going to some races in the new year.

I think I should look for a new challenge in the meantime but not sure what. Will definitely give it some thought though.

I am going to (re)commit to 2 minutes of gratitude in the evening. It was really good for my mental health to think about all the things going right or that I am lucky to have, but I seem to have let the habit slip.

Got a few ideas:

1. Aiming to squish my Fetchpoint bug everyday for 30 days to get a badge. Only 5 days in so it will take most of September if I manage it.
2. Swim once a week in the Serpentine. Haven't swum this late in the year without a wetsuit so it will be a challenge if it gets cold quickly.
3. On the days I'm not swimming/cycling/or at the gym do a home upper body workout. I've got mini dumbbells and YouTube and I need to make use of them!
