Macca - have a look at the Analysis Toolpak.
1. File
Options
Add-ins - look at the RHS bottom of dialog and should see a button Go. 2. Check mark the Analysis Toolpak option 3. In the Data tab, you should see an Analyze group with Data Analysis. In there is a Histogram tool that used to be able to create a bell shaped curve.
Minimum points needed would be 3 points to plot a triangle..... sorry bell shaped curve

Glenn, luckily I've never needed to calculate internal rate of return :-). Whenever I've needed to anything recursive I've used more specialised applications or coded my own.

You can do recursive calculations in Excel if you turn iteration on in options. Can go amusingly wrong though.
