Lovely thought for the day on R4 today that ended with 'an act of human kindness costs nothing'.

I've done a few odd little bits over the last few days. Helped a lady in the shop the other day. Picked up some glasses and put them on top of a wall instead of in the middle of the path(in obvious sight but not out of reach of course) and someone helped me this morning. None of it feels like much, but these things do good.

M4P , someone picked up some glasses and put them on the wall at the end if our garden a couple of weeks ago, they are still there, guess the person that lost them can't see them

A colleague had an accident in her car this morning. I offered to give her a lift back from the garage when she went to drop it off. She declined.

Someone pushed their trolley in the general direction of the trolley park as I was passing. I stacked it properly out of the way.

One of my course coordinators was obviously stressed so I made an extra effort to inject some humour into his day. It was in the form of smut I admit but he likes smut so all good.

My wife (always kind and considerate) is beginning to regret helping a lady who slipped over in a local supermarket. This woman was so upset about the actions of the staff that she may sue them for her fall and my wife might be dragged in as a witness against one of her regular shops. Don't worry, it still wouldn't put her off helping another person in a similar situation if it happened again tomorrow.
