parkrun for me too, been a few weeks since I've just done a parkrun instead of in amongst a longer run.
Company is good Alpen, definitely couldn't be doing this without the other two.

I just wrote a post and it's disappeared. Flipping internet. Great running, especially LG, and good luck in the new job Nutso. My new job is a bit quiet, mostly in a good way, I enjoy not being inundated by stroppy customers and staff! Sometimes I think I might get bored in time, but that hopefully means once I fully know the job I might be able to request going down to four days a week which would be good. So for now I am focusing on learning things thoroughly and I may draft a business case for part time once my part time assistant returns from her maternity leave. In other news, porridge has been eaten and a snail-like run/walk will be happening soon. Have a lovely day all.

The amount of mud and water encountered on today's run was always going to make it difficult to remain clean and dry ... so, from the first step, I didn't even try to ;) . Local soil is clay :-o , so I was very glad to have decided to wear my X-Talons :-) (I can't remember one single slip or moment of footing concern :-) )

I encountered lots of families on my route ~ good to see folks taking small things out in inclement weather! *approve* . And there's me, ploughing through both mud and water ... irrespective of length or depth ;-) *muckypup* . And lots of kiddies had, up to that point, been listening to their parents and staying out of the puddles ... apparently I am a really bad influence :-) ~ who knew? ;-) 😂

I was rather disappointed by some mums the other day who were telling their children they didn't want to go in the nasty puddles. Jumping in puddles is exactly what kids are meant to do. Mind you, the kids outfits probably cost more than my entire wardrobe!!

I've updated the spreadie with my best times for 1 mile, 5k and 5 miles for March. I added on a bit for my 5 miles as my garmin was being a bit weird that day and miscalculated the first mile.

Fragile Do Not Bend
As I actually did a run in March I’ve added my 1 mile time, didn’t quite get far enough to record a 5k time.

Womble - I seem to be missing a few times from the all time PB table, was I supposed to let you know them? This all got set up whilst I had flu and was away with the fairies so I probably missed something.

dec - I have to admit I'm a "tiptoe round the edge of puddles and avoid the mud" kind of runner - but having only one pair of running shoes is definitely a contributory factor to this! I don't mind wet/muddy shoes when I'm out, but I don't want to put my feet into soggy trainers!

Kicked off April with a lovely 4 mile R/W by the Thames at Rainham marshes, followed by coffee with the Sunday crew from club :-)
