Now spending £10 on cake I understand, but on a Cakeathon medal for something you haven't done - what's the point?

Although having said that, I read something a while ago - maybe a thread on here - where someone had lost or had all their medals stolen so someone was trying to find replacements, so they put out an appeal for the ones where the event organisers couldn't help out. Doubt Cakeathon medal falls into that category though!

Yes, I doubt it was a replacement in this case, as the buyer posted 'that's an amazing medal' before asking to buy it. Sounds like she hadn't seen one before.

Nutso Lazytoad!
Afternoon all hope we are all well and running happily?

So I gas a hissy fit with the physio on wed demanded a call from the senior man he saw me thu loads if tests and checks. My movement is much better my right four looks a lot better my hamstring that was the source of my hissy fit is grumbling because the nerve has been aggravated. Basically he said everything going well we have just chased it up your leg to the source. Apparently when you have been injured a whilst your protective mechanisms go into overdrive and the slightest issue sets them off. Did loads of very painful stuff tweaked my excercises a bit back in a week just for review. No reason I can't run but nothing silly and I have to set out with PMA so my brain starts in the right place.

Wigan 10k tomorrow lets see how that goes! Been to the gym this morning to do my physio and to test the leg on the bike 7k done with no issue.

Hope your 10k went well Nutso!

Flipping hell, the Body Blast instructor was determined to find the maximum weight I could squat for 10 reps. I could never have got that bar on and off my shoulders without her help. Another carefully controlled descent down the stairs from the gym needed today, I wish the gym was on the ground floor!

Hope your race went well Nutso

Lol Fragile! It's good to be pushed like that sometimes - I wouldn't have found out I could run 10mmm (albeit for a very short time) if the Run Leader hadn't decided I could!!

I have DOMS today from Friday's gym session, which was all upper body - my triceps are screaming at me and washing my hair later will be interesting. Popping out this afternoon to get started on my half marathon in a week challenge - maybe 3.5 miles today and pick up some bugs on the way!

Nice racing Nut! :) Good that you got pushy with the physios, hope they're not taking the piss.
Frag, don't they have a lift at your gym? Hope yours and kwala's DOMS don't hang around too long. ;-) Good luck running your half this week k.

I had the Air Festival this weekend so I got my bike out after running on Friday and Saturday, went to the beach and had my last dips in the sea.
Busy week coming up with a friend coming to stay for a couple of days and days out later in the week, birthday on Friday and race/challenge on Sunday. I'm knackered thinking about it all already. Why does it always happen at once? ;-)

Hope race was good Nuts and Fragile your class sounds evil lol

Horrid run yesterday, was meant to be 16 cut short to 12 due to having to take on too many fluids and that in itself causing belly issues.

Off on holiday Friday so no long run this weekend. Will give a long run another go when get back and if it doesn't happen then cant see marathon happening either

Fragile Do Not Bend
I don't know if there is a lift (guess there must be for people with mobility problems) but I would be too embarrassed to admit to needing it after a class! 😄

This had better give me buns of steel, that's all I can say.
