I seem to remember after finishing (and before even starting) VMLM in 2015 saying that it would be my final, ever, very last marathon. I am now remembering why I said I would never do another one. Finding the time for the training is very hard, am missing my bike and getting grumpy lol.

Am doing a cut back week this week for two reasons a) i feel my body needs its and b) we have visitors and its not quite polite to bugger off for 3 hrs to run 16 miles.

Sorry having a bad day - grumble grumble grumble

Probably do you good to have a cut back week MM, make sure you still get out for some shorter runs and do a bit of cross training on your bike too.

I'm off to parkrun on Saturday, first one since I did my 50th on the 10th June.

Have run, feel happier now. I may not be enjoying my longer runs but the results are showing in shorter runs 😁

My run was tough today - legs were pretty heavy after yesterday's PT session (which was brilliant!).

I feel rubbish. Cold a few weeks before my race but my whole body hurts! Trying to work out if it's the cold or doms from my bootcamp class so I can run 😓

Hope it's just doms EB. I'm just working out a bug busting run for later, hoping to keep it to about 2 miles but have so many bugs in different directions it'll take a few trips to get them all!!

Perhaps it's better to have the day off today and see what develops tomorrow EB. :(

I went out bug hunting this morning - on my bike - it's the only way I can keep on top of the pesky blighters. Shame, cos I could have done all 7 in a run as they weren't actually on opposite sides of my circle for once. ;-) I'm hoping that I don't get another dose of DOMS like last Friday as I really need to parkrun tomorrow.

Did my PT session today had to reduce reps on a few exercises 😯 can't believe how hard it felt! A reduced long run tomorrow of 10 miles hoping that's not going to feel as hard. Cold is all in my head and any 'seepage' is clear so I'm good to go but not expecting great things

Good luck tomorrow EB and well done on the PT session. As you've still got your cold take it easy tomorrow. I did six today, run and walk, and will try something a bit longer tomorrow. We are looking for a holiday, we've got a week off end of sept and can't decide where to go (in the UK not aboard, I CBA with airports). So I am enjoying looking at holiday cottages everywhere!
