AR - I fully intend to keep up the 30 mile months - I am so loving being back running :-) What you got planned for tomo?

Well done MM - and good luck for the 8 miler. I find it interesting looking back at my training log - I can track all my injuries by the mileage (or lack thereof!!).

Evening SAPs! Great running Kwala and MM. Great painting LG! Alpen how is it only two weeks to your half, that has come round quickly.

I had a funny day at work. First thing was a lovely and funny email from a customer thanking me for what I did for him. That put me in a happy mood. Then I had a nasty customer who was quite offensive over the phone so that got passed on to my managers and I think he will be spoken to about his attitude...

Then I had a call from the office where my new job is. They have already offered me that job which is entry level / low pay but it's a way in, and I figure at some point promotion will be possible. I haven't started it yet, lengthy pre-employment checks ongoing. They had two more vacancies come up early July, so I spoke to my contact there who recruited me and asked if I could apply, seeing as I was already in line for the first job. He said go for it, you never know, and I always have the first one to fall back on. So I applied. Today another person in their office rang and said I have an interview on Tuesday, to be considered for both jobs. So excited! These two jobs are the next level up so it's much better pay than the one I am currently going into (although all are less than I earn now). I am well up for an interview and will be preparing all weekend now! Fingers and gingers crossed! Either way though, my days in my current job are numbered and I couldn't be happier about that! :-)

Oh and as this is a running website I plan to run Sat and Sun and one will be ten miles and will contain a fair amount of walking. I can see a podium finish for me on the SAP ten miles, anyone want to take me on?!

Good running Mandy, easy now, don't overdo it with your new-found enthusiasm. :)

kwala, I'm planning 12 miles - there'll probably be a fair amount of walking involved. ;-)

Lem, apart from the blip in the morning, sounds like you had a great day - set you up for the weekend. I'll keep my gingers crossed for you for next week. :)

I may take 10 from tomorrow and enter the SAP 10 this month.

Gingers crosses L10!

Long run today as no chance to run Sunday, so will take my SAP 10 from that. Horribly slow though as it was so muggy and I managed to find one of the steepest hills in the area .

Gingers crossed for you here L10!

Not quite ready for the 10 mile challenge just yet, although I might try a 5mile before the year is out!

Love the thread. I'm now a committed walk runner, particularly over longer distances, as I've been coming back from injury. Enjoy it much more than forcing a tired body when its had enough! Planning a couple of outings over the weekend - enjoy yours and don't get too obsessed with the miles....

Morning all and welcome EJ! You can't beat walk run I think, you can see more of the world around you. I noticed on my Monday run/walk when I walked for a bit that the farmer had harvested one of his fields. I hadn't noticed that when I ran past on the out section, just noticed it on the back section as I was walking for a bit. Glad you are on the come back after an injury, we all hate the injury bench!

Hi EJ, welcome aboard. Glad you're off the bench - I've spent far too long there and am just loving being back. I'm pretty sure that if I ever progress to longer distances I will be run/walk all the way to keep myself off the bench!
