Welcome EJ - the best thread to be on :-)

Had a SB at parkrun today (for running with a buggy), it was hot and every time I walked Alfie kept saying 'faster grandma' ;-) - maybe need him more often lol

L10 gingers firmly crossed

Ej welcome

I parkran this morning was a walk from 5k as the man in friends hamstring went twang he was a newbie and I thought I should stay with him. My foot is still being pesky 😡, work manic and now my mum is awaiting a ct scan next week which is stressing me. Oh well I shall continue to try and keep running where I can. I succeeded with three runs this week and I'm off spinning tomorrow unless I can get in pump instead.

Gingers crossed here too Lem :)

Hi all and welcome EJ. Still struggling away here though strangely enjoyed last week's race along the beach at St Andrews! Howling gale, lashing rain and wading through the North Sea up to my moon! Conditions were later described as brutal so quite proud of myself then I go and get a SW at parkrun this morning! What's that all about? :-O

10 miler tomorrow- hoping for rain ;)

Welcome EJ, slow and proud's what we're about and keeping off the injury bench. :)

Nice buggy running LG.
Good of you to get that chap back Nut, hope things are okay with your Mum, it must be worrying for you, good that you're getting out more regularly.
DQ, you got round today so that's a positive, we can't be fast all the time. Hope your 10 miler goes okay tomorrow.

I managed my 12 miler today. I saw a Community Centre halfway round which was open so nipped in there for a wee, a bit later I had a bit of a twinge in my calf and hamstring but they went away again then my feet were quite sore for about the last 3 miles, they actually felt better when running than walking.
So, my new longest ever run, done! :)

(((Nutso))) Hope all goes well for your mum. Keep running/spinning/pumping - exercise can be a great stress reliever.

DQ - like ar says, they can't all be fast runs, good luck for tomo

ar - well done on the 12 miler, glad the twinges went away :-)

Evening all. Run fail today, meh. I did sit and have a lovely chat with my dad though :-) lots of stories about his childhood. Will be running tomorrow though and trying out my new prescription sports sunglasses. They look great and will take some getting used to with my mega strong prescription on a curved / wrap around lens so will let you know if I run into any trees, tractors or cows!

Alpen that is a stonking run! You are right on track for your race! Awesome :-) star

Sorry you are still struggling DQ but sounds like you had a great run the other day! Good luck with the run tomorrow.

((Nutso)) sorry things are stressy for you at the moment. Hope your Mum does OK at the scan.

LG congrats on an awesome buggy parkrun with young Alfie! I love that he tells you to go faster! Kwala is right, we all need an Alfie!
