Thanks guys and Happy Birthday to Mandymoo :)

Working today sadly and I have my annual MOT with the nurse to look forward to this afternoon! No cake here either as trying to shed a bit of flab but think we might go out tonight so there will probably be champagne :) I do have flowers though and all from Fetchies - LG and MaltDrinker (aka hubby) :)

Hallo all. Yes it's me! I'm still around and running. Trying to build up distance and forget about speed for a while. I managed to do a 9 miler last Sunday. Goodness knows when I shall be able to manage a 10 again. Last time I managed that far was Jan 1st.

Nice to read all your posts. They are all so cheerful even when you're moaning about something. I love to see the comments by people who understand what this slow running is all about - although, of course, you are all faster than me!

Hello Unity! I am always amazed by your mileage too! I always think the main thing is enjoying it, and for me that means run/walk most of the time. I have grand ideas of training to get faster and do less walking but they never come to anything! Be happy doing what we do, that's the best thing! :-)

Afternoon folks, and indeed happy birthday to MM & DQ.

*waves to Unity*, glad to see the mileage.

Been to see about hiring a hat for my son's wedding today - wanted a hatinator cause I didn't think I suited a hat...well wrong :-) so I now have a hat :-)
Would like to shed a few more pounds just to keep the outfit from being snug :-O so for me that means no wine and treats at the weekend ( but can maybe start in July haha.

1) Keep doing my leg exercises and add ankles to the plan
2) Cto5k/10k my way
3) Concentrate on 5k then 10k times
4) Try to get to +300 miles in a year (plus 1000 walking miles)
5) Arrive at the BH marathon start line fit and healthy, and have fun whilst covering the challenge

1) to start building some strength and flexibility work into my week
2) to get back in to walking every day for at least 30 mins
