Are you going to Tignes too Pinch? L'Espace Killy seems to be very popular this year. I'm booked for Val D'Isere in April.

Val Claret is where we stayed. Got to the glacier on Monday which was just superb. Also skied the edge of the piste map down to Les Brévières on Thu and took the kids up to the Aiguille Percée in the sunshine on Fri. Lovely steep skiing and loads of snow!

Whilst I'm here, I've a question for the Fetch snowsports massive.
MrsC has broken skis. Totally goosed. They're (or rather were) a pair of Salomon X-Scream 800s that she bought about 14 years ago, when they were one of *the* skis to have. Clearly things have moved on in the past decade so I was wondering if I could pick your brains for suggestions.
She skis well, can ski every run in resort to one degree or another. She doesn't often venture off piste but handles deep powder and crud with aplomb, and she likes speeding down groomed runs in the sunshine (well, who doesn't?!).
She definitely doesn't want anything too wide or heavy.
We'd appreciate your help. :-)⛷

No2son has 4 seasons under his belt and more pairs of skis than Nightjar has bicycles. Just popped out. I'll grill him when he gets back.

Best idea is to test skis when in the resort, like running shoes everyone has different needs.

Thanks nightjar, that'd be great.
AR, that's the plan, but a "starter for 10" would be nice. Ta.

Okay, K2 rockers & Stockli Stormriders seem quite popular round here the last year or two.

I have a pair of K2 Burnin Luv skis (not the most recent ones, I got them about 8 years ago) which are too good for me by about the same amount as Mrs C's skiing sounds to be better than mine, if that helps I did a fair bit of reading the reviews and pretending to understand the technical stuff before choosing them, and I've never had reason to wish I'd bought something different.
I would have been happy to hire skis, but with me being *this* size I tended to get given skis that were a bit too mushy underfoot.
