Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

lammo I can't even remember where I saw it, not a clue about the meaning. Thornton Runner is our best bet.

talkingforestrunes.com helps a bit, but as TR says the 10 lines doesn't fit.

This is a sign they seem to think is necessary above the urinals in the Orly airport loos. Do people really need telling that this is not drinking water. Even if it was, would you get it from such a source?

Dio - I was told that all taps (water supply), wherever they are, must be potable. (in a running context with french colleagues saying any tap was OK to drink from).

Any that aren't must be labelled. So, yes French people do need to be told, because otherwise the law says it's safe.

The billy connolly sketch on drinking foreign tap water is worth a watch.

that's a useful bit of knowledge Um, I didn't know that. though, as Dio has intimated, removing said sign may lead to Darwin Award-level outcomes.

Common enough signs on their own, but not often seen together
