Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Carp - you just need to add your time to the run event website.

Thanks for the invite JovialGnome and I am so happy to hear that it's not a one off and that the support has been great :-)

It's great to hear it will return next year. I'm not too far from Boston, so if we are down that way I'll see about coming to meet the sheep :)

Sheepy Shuffle complete, 4.5 hours before the deadline. Hardest I've run in a while and still 30 minutes slower than my PB, but a nice scenic hilly course on a lovely evening. 5 fields of sheep en route, will try to post pics tomorrow.

Carpathius, I'm afraid not we had 752 medals and due to a website glitch, Fenland Flier was entrant number 751! I can print you out an iron-on tranfer if you want to put it on a tee shirt!

Oh blimey I really did leave it 'last minute'. Jovial Gnome I'm happy to forfeit my medal as I was late to the party.
I'm so pleased the event has gone a lot better than you thought and chuffed to bits for the future of Mirkwood 😊

No FF, you earned yours! It was just a vague idea I had, if JG had any left over.

Two Fetchies have offered theirs which just goes to prove that Fetchies are the best people in the universe heart
However, I'm not even sure my friend would be that bothered. Like me a lot of the time, he was just glad to get out on the trails. The runners who signed up should keep theirs 🐑

Not just that Carp but I was 701 and the race limit was 700 so either way I don't mind.

Also I have a hit-and-miss habit of painting coasters for people I've run races with - started at the Bury to Clare race a few years ago when I ran with three clubmates and had a great time, but by the time we finished the slate coasters (instead of medals) had run out. So I made us some. Then I ran the SVP50 with some other clubmates and started making coasters for that too. I shall finish those, and make a Sheepy one for my friend.

I've also started making badges for my nephew based on Hey Duggee. We have a broody hen sitting on eggs at the moment and my nephew can name one of the chicks. He will earn his Egg Badge.
