And they both had their names in LARGE LETTERS on their vests - UNION and BLIND KEN. I know, cos I ironed them on. Dear Mr Bore, Your appointment is overdue, please make a new booking as soon as possible. Lots of love, SpecSavers! :-)G |

I'm trying to get permission to copy and paste Naomi. But I'm a nice fellow and I like to ask first. :-)G

Hi BCRB sorry, I probably was confused (I usually am)! When guiding I'm concentrating on the road surface (and in the last 6 miles being a shouty person to my running partner - I'll let Ken tell that tale!) so apologies not to have chatted. Naomi, nice to meet you on the way round. I thought it was a great event, I even got sunburnt which was a real surprise given the cloud and rain! Wonderful, classic marathon run and a great PB for Ken but I'll let him tell the tale of the possibly already infamous 10 seconds

I gave you a shout as I passed after a mile or so and as you finished - hadn't realised you were so close to 4 hours!

Thanks for the shout YP. Ken has blogged his experiences: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/blog_other.php?id=35512 I'll be doing mine but my overall reflection was that was the real thing, we ran all the way, stuck to a strategy and had to fight and beat that pain and exhaustion that everyone experiences. |

OK guys, the story is out. Sorry to keep everyone waiting, hadn't realised there would be such a demand. I've opened a real genuine blog rather than post to this thread. Please feel free to have a look and leave a comment if you wish. It was a great run, I loved it, and I'm not gutted over the 10 seconds, 4:00:00 is just a number, just like any other. But it was a PB, it was a superb day out, it was lovely meeting loads of Fetchies, and it will live with me for ever. Thanks to you all for your support, before, during and after. Proud Ken |
