Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

just been to stock up on pharmaceuticals -like a good pharmacist i am, immodium, ibuprofen melt, yes every twinge means i'v got a severe injury, my left knee is aching a bit- but had knee ache before my pb at Chester last year- must be a good sign !

i'll take my water bottles , but much prefer to pick up and discard theirs, Llanelli was great - 330ml bottles with sports cap, - just right for squirting over the teenage marshals who were lying down in the sun :-)

setting off in 30min , then drive a bit of the course , & a little able near the finish

all best see you soon

Hi all... only doing the half tomorrow - but noticed for the first time yesterday that the course no longer starts on Waterside but starts in the town (High St/Church St) and does a loop up Chestnut Walk, Rother St and down past Shakespeares Birthplace... is this new this year? Or was it introduced last year? (missed last year due to VLM).

Good luck to all running tomorrow (both half and full), and hope things are okay Mick.

Water was in cups when I did it two years ago and I remember Gymfreak mentioning cups last year too. Worth remembering there's nothing out on the route other than water if you want sports drinks / gels / whatever.

Cox's Yard for post race pint, it's pretty close to race HQ but can't remember exact directions.

Cox's Yard is on the river bank, by the Bridge, opposite the The Swan's Nest Hotel. Head back towards town from the finish and you just can't miss it.

Just to clarify - the start used to be on waterside (in town, but next to the river/canal basin & Theatre), whereas it's now starts on the town's High Street. (so still in town, but a different start location)... it seems this new start location was introduced last year whilst roadworks etc were taking place on Waterside and it's been maintained for this year.
