What are we time-wise apart, Shades - 20mins away? It’s fine here, cold but roads, pavements totally free of any ice. Amazing the difference really.
I had a rest day, as planned, yesterday but will be going out for my run in a bit.

Big G - it's as you're closer to the sea and the prevailing sea breezes. I lived for years just yards from the sea and we never ever had ice.
I've just been out, ice has almost gone, just a few patches but all easily avoidable. Flipping cold though even in the sun.
Ian - bad luck. Enjoy the treadmill 😉

It is a bit like today a 30 minute drive and just ten minutes in they had snow and the further we went the worst it was.Looks like our ice has gone. But I did cardio and upper body work out for 30 minutes before PT session. A great session today nice to be back and it is the switch everything around so trap bar, paused goblet squats, chest press, reverse chest press and the plank.
Just hope tomorrow is okay weather wise.

Shades, yeah, that’s what it is. Coastal conditions for ice are very different.
Got 7 miles done today. Feeling okay, quite cold, but sunny and decent conditions for me. I had a voucher for a pasty, so went back via town and picked that up for lunch 😄

Being located quite close to Ian, we also had the 'surprise' dump of snow over night! The +ve (+1 or so) daytime temps mean that it melts to a slippery slush pretty quickly, though.
Thanks Rob and Shades, for good wishes re: bloods. The actual blood draw was fine, but I'd given myself 45 - 50 mins for a 22 min. journey in the hope that that would be sufficient... nope! Snow chaos, plus a breakdown in the middle of a right turn lane that I needed to use, so the normal "straight on" right hand lane took about 10x the expected time with all the right turners blocking things off A 9am appointment became 09:20(ish)... but they were great about it as everyone being delayed was expected.
It's normally a "Chatty Tuesday" club run this evening, although that has been cancelled. I have a 4pm Zoom call... but considering heading to the forest after that for a dusk into torch-lit run and try to get some miles done - need to stretch my legs!

WP - when I lived in Jersey, we never had frost. Didn't even need a winter coat.
But we did have snow one year, a fair amount but only lasted 2 days. Everything shut down as only snow plough was at the airport.

Xpost Nell - nightmare journey for your bloods appointment. Great that it was all OK though.
Have a great run. If there's still some snow that might be fun in the forest by torchlight.
