Big G - are you going to train again with the Mötley Crew now that you're back doing off road?
New shoes have arrived. Perfect fit.

Crikey, that’s quite extensive Shades. Sounds a good programme there. Yes, I’m hoping to do some runs with them. I can’t actually do next Wednesday as we’re busy, but I’ve said I’ll lead one the following Wednesday if there is interest.

WP - I just Googled steady state cardio and generally it's Zone 2 training, keeping the hr steady and low. So that includes running but Ben has combined the Stairmaster and inclined treadmill for extra leg strength.
Actually Stairmaster is particularly good for me as I live in a flat and rarely climb stairs. There are only 2 Stairmaster machines in the gym so treadmill is an option if they're both busy.
The treadmill is for walking, inclined 8- 10%, speed 2-5. He doesn't want me to run.
Good news my muscle imbalance in my quads has returned to 0.1kg difference, from 0.2kg difference recorded in May. That left me with a noticeably weaker right leg. 0.1 kg is normal for me so OK.

That all sounds positive that you have addressed the imbalance in quads.
Thanks for info looking at ways to incorperate into my training would mean getting treadmill or stairmaster or paying for gym membership on top of PT fees. I am similar as live in bungalow.
I think I would rather have equipment at home.

WP - many years ago, when I badly sprained my ankle I used a stair climber in the little gym down the road as part of my rehabilitation.
First time I'd been on a Stairmaster today and it's an almighty beast, I can see why they're popular in the gym. Our treadmills are new too. First time I've ever been on a treadmill.
£5k, that's a lot of money and the machine is huge, not sure it would fit in a bungalow, you'd need fairly high ceiling height too. If you can find some steps out and about, say mid run, if that works for you.

I am thinking steps in local park but would have to be as I finish run due to location or at start of run.
I am not spending that sort of money and we have low ceilings and not much room.

Even if you picked up a small step climber, would it be worth it for a couple of 30 minute sessions a week.
