WP - hope that sore throat gets no worse.

On Start Fitness despatch email they said that on occasions DPD will advise a pin code which I give to the driver in exchange for my parcel.

That is something I have not come across before but a good way to make sure parcel ends up with the right person.

I doubt it's on all deliveries, maybe Express and/or high value, I don't know.

Keith - the Adrenalines are at a great price, you did right to buy them.

My shoes arrived, on time, quoted pin code to charming DPD driver.

The box is huge, and so are the shoes. These are the highest stack height of any of my shoes at 46mm, I think that's above WA legal limit but as I won't be setting any records not relevant to me. They look gorgeous and feel really comfortable. Can't wait for tomorrow morning to run in them.

Jacket is lovely and perfect fit, £7.20. I'd have happily paid 40 quid more for it. It's a soft touch, fleece lined, windproof cycle jacket. I wanted a jacket that covers my bum in the cold 🥶

That jacket sounds perfect for the colder mornings.

I better go and have a look😃

Sounds like a good run in new shoes for tomorrow.

This is the one.www. startfitness.co.uk

I read the reviews and it comes up small to size so I ordered a medium, fits me perfectly, snug but with comfortable and ample arm and shoulder movement. There are plenty others if not what you want, look under Outlet section.

Here in London after a good night out last night seeing a band (Interpol) at Ally Pally.

This morning I’d pencilled in Ally Pally parkrun but on reading the event page I changed my mind and went to Finsbury Park instead. It’s a lovely park, athletics track, loads of tennis courts, large ponds etc.

Event was 2 laps on tarmac with a steep, sharp climb towards the end of each lap. With some running before and after it was 5.5 in total and amazingly my first run since NYC! Enjoyed it though, which is the main thing.

Off to see Waiting for Godot tonight - managed to get tickets today.

I may or may not do a run tomorrow AM, and then it’s home tomorrow afternoon and I then need to get back to a routine with everything!

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
