Well done Damo, and Ian, iain, Soapy etc. It's a great race. Yes, the only year I did it there was a nasty fall on Arthur's Seat and a great deal of blood involved!
Races like orienteering, where you all disappear in different directions seem so weird.
Maz, you'd enjoy it. It's fun to recce the route to find best options, but as you couldn't do that, just join in with a couple others and do it that way. A great way to see Edinburgh. Bonio (Norma) from Harmeny and I did it with a couple of others and we called it the 7 Picnics of Edinburgh, because we stopped at each top, chatted to marshals, got our sandwiches out and then set off again. We weren't first! G

I wasn’t running, but joined in with a recce with folk from my club a couple of weeks ago. Was quite good fun. Certainly tempted for next year.

One of my tri club chums has asked me to give a shout out to Doune Gala fun run this Sunday.
Sunday 23/6/19 start Moray park Doune 2.5km and 6km, registration 9.30 start 10 £2 for an adult £1 child
I think some Fetchies have run this before & I’ve seen photos with trophies involved as there isn’t a big entry, but organisers are dead nice & friendly.

My home village race, after being here seven years I hope to run it for the first time this weekend!
Organised by the Harvey Maps folk I think. Sue Harvey is a very nice wifie.

Haha, HappyG - just the other day, F*cebook had reminded me of the fun day the Seven Picnics was. Fab and friendly challenge/race, def recommended. We used to have a full set of coasters (some twice) until a few years ago.

Hiya Spicey *waves* It was an ace day out. It was Norma and was it Nicky from Harmeny too? And another pal of hers? I can't remember. Was great fun though. G

@iaincr - my 7 Hills route is now public. I'm not saying it's the quickest, and it certainly isn't the shortest, but it works for me
