57.5 Degrees of Pain
The stiff Orkney breeze was a great deal more pleasant for the pre run briefing than the midges of Polkemmet last week. I hear head nets are de rigeur for the volunteers at Fort William so that may be the worst for biting beasties.

Good luck to anyone running the Men's 10K in Glasgow today.
First one I haven't entered since it started.

I can't find any results for Celtman Ally. Durty Events website says they "often do it", but they don't have a results for 2019 for them and the link just goes to Celtman website which doesn't have results up yet.

BR5 and 7HOE are two races I really need to do sometime.
My run yesterday did cross paths with the 7Hills guys going opposite way when I ran down from the canal and towards Saughton. It was kind a weird as the 'race' were catching the 'challenge' who set off earlier and you had a mix of people moving at quite different paces with me trying to go against the flow and not get in the way

One of my clubmates ( who I shall not name but he's not a Fetchie) clearly lacks any knowledge of Edinburgh. He took a wrong turning leaving the Castle and had made his way to Tollcross on his way to Corstorphine hill.. before realising his mistake !

Seven hills awesome as normal, weather was surprisingly good.
It is a bit disconcerting when runners go off in different directions believing they have the best racing route . I also avoided the rock climbing section on Arthurs seat just too scary!
Now run it 10 times dont think I have went the same way twice!
we should aim for a mass Fetchie pack run next year!

I'd love to do it, but I would absolutely need a guide!

I did 7HoE for 5th time and loved the scramble up Arthurs Seat - the rock was warm and dry and sticky so never felt like I was going to fall off (unlike some previous years where it's been wet and a bit treacherous) I stuck to my usual route and kept popping out in front of other people who were faster but just following the herd Damo2000 from Harmeny had a cracking run and was well inside the top 20 and well under 2 hours
