Thanks Dv, think I’ll give it a bash then as it’s a club Grand Prix so they seem to have a decent turn out and hopefully will all wait to cheer me 😂

Well done Dvorak, although tbh, I wasn’t overly excited by LL, might be a good one for frosty/icy days though.

I’m doing Gartmorn too, picking debut races this year.

2:18 for Glentress, not too horrific, would say it was harder than Strathearn & Kinlochleven halves.

Scottish parkrun advice please. Any suggestions for most run/walk friendly (as in 40-45 mins wont keep everyone behind), flat no hills, tarmac or smooth trail surface parkrun within an hour of mid central belt? Looking for a comeback event (almost 6 years) and want a PB ;-) so not Strathclyde, Falkirk or Pollock. Was thinking Livingston fits the bill? (posted this in parkrun thread too)

Livingston is fairly flat, only done it once though, so can’t recall the details.

Lochore is flat, albeit a small incline at the end.

Springburn pretty easy too.

Thanks. Both Lochore and Springburn have been mentioned elsewhere as options so will keep them in mind.

Livi is pretty flat but there’s a few hills, especially now that they have changed the route to take you up past the playpark.

What about Cramond?

Springburn has a couple of hills, not Tollcross hills but you'll feel them. Linwood is flat and smooth trail, plus enough turns in the woods to take your mind off the distance.

Entries just opened for our club's Benromach 10k in May. Starts and finishes in a distillery - what's not to like?
