The Carnegie Harriers Devilla Forest 5k and 15k Trail races will be on Sunday 9th February 2020. I've added them both to the race calendar . I don't know when entries will open but I will post that when it's announced.

Cambuslang Harriers Down by the River 10k now open via entry central here.

Back to our traditional date of 1st of March. This year we plan to have chip timing.

It's a club run, friendly, flat and PB potential race.

Loads of Carnegie at East District XC on Sat at Broxburn. Really pleased with 7 ladies out for Kinross, but shame only 5 men as that meant penalties. Harmeny (my other club - tart!) had great turnout too, especially juniors, coming 1st, 2nd teams in various U11, U15 boys and girls. Fab to watch! :-) G

But will the Harriers get on-trend and provide vegan sausage rolls next year, iain? (I went hungry :-( )

It is a good wee race, but having got injured there this year, fate will remain untempted by me on March 1st.

Any word on the mooted parkrun for doon aboot there?

Dvorak, to keep costs down we have decided to forgo the sausage rolls/pies (vegan or meat) and add chip timing which is important for the runners not right at the front of the start line.

We are hearing rumors that a parkrun may be starting using the out and back route along the clyde, if I hear more I will let you know......

Nae porkpie :-o There will be outrage, mark my words!

Tbh although it will be easier for the organisers, and I like a chip time in a bigger race, my level of botheredness about it for DBTR (and i was fifth-last) would be appproaching zero.

Interesting, thanks Dvorak. in terms of doing results manually it was never an issue, think we got them out pretty quickly and accurately, there was however feedback from some starting further back that it could cost a PB.

We will still have water, bananas and hopefully something sweet at the end......

if you change your mind would be great to see you!s

Hi k-poo - I'm hoping to come along to cheer. 1 x work colleague pal (or possibly 2?), 1 x gym mate, plus loads of lovely Harmenies to see and say hi to. Might jog round the course cheering. Hope you have a fab race. It's such a great route. Good luck. :-) G
