I really do need to start hunting out some races. For the past few years I've really shied away from it but I think I need the challenge. And I need to stop this solitary running thing that I've talked myself in to over the past 8 years. I most certainly need the training!

Whilst browsing, I saw that the G2E is "taking a break" for 2020. It also looks like it never went ahead in 2019. 2018 had an unusually high number of DNFs (possibly weather related). Anyone ken anything about this? Have the organisers (Resolute Events) just jacked it?
(As a good chunk is on "my" patch, I have had the crazy thoughts that maybe, one day ...)

It was a lovely event. Duchess was a marshal the year I did it, I think. Or was it Sarah Self? Remember when Pestomum did it, back when Fetch was all fields? G

Ultracat that Pestomum year also, when Marcus Minimus won it. In a later year, I ran a bit (to the big tunnel) with becca7, and then again with Plodding Hippo and kstuart. In fact ~rummages~ ...

I really enjoyed the G2E on my one try (2012). Growing up near the canal it just seemed to make sense to run to Embra on it.

Nothing like having an adventure just to get to a race K5. Puts me in mind of driving over the back road to Trinafour and by Schiehallion through a wild storm en route to the Loch Rannoch Marathon!
