Keeping busy, Ally A race I've never done either.
I'm swithering about entering the Jimmy Irvine a week on Sunday. I'm missing doing races and reckon I'm fit enough ... but after my last attempt to run a 10K race resulted in woeful injury that I'm just really back from, I'm nervous of discovering that my leg won't stand up to prolonged pace again.

The specialist at Forth Valley told me yesterday I had a very good knee for a Scottish person of my age, nae sign of arthritis. Should’ve got them to x-ray the other one😀
Nae damage by the way. So hope to be running again soon.

The Glen Lyon race weekend ( 31 mile ultra Saturday, 15.5 mile trail Sunday ) is normally first weekend of May, the organisers have just announced that due to issues this year with lambing, the local estate have asked for date to be changed and so for 2020 is now first weekend of April, ie 4th and 5th. Races added to race database

I nearly got wiped out by a sheep running across the road at Kyles 10 Miles this year. Little bit surreal

The Glen Lyons looked (for someone who doesn't do that kind of thing) interesting races. Katypie had a good blog on her race there. So far away!

The problem they may have in bringing forward to start of April, is getting to the start line. It's miles and miles of single track road that never sees a snowplough - it's not unheard of to get snow in late March that could still be lying.........
Also, the most direct route for many from the Central Belt is up and over the hill road that you use to climb Ben Lawers - that was closed until well after Easter 2 winters ago, there is a longer, lower level route that avoids this road though.
