Yes I used to work for GSi Events. The Chris Hoy was the Dunfermline outfit, GSi Events have being doing the Scottish Half for a few years now I think, not exactly sure when they started but think 2014 was the 1st year they did it. Its my first time running it and hoping for a favourable wind. Goes right past my old house too so know the route really well.

There hasn't been a Dunfermline half marathon for quite a few years now. I think 2011 was the last time.

Fraggle, most welcome - as sidebar says it's about races, running and runners in Scotland, not about nationality. Should really be called "Scottish Running". G

Would I be a bit crazy to attempt to drive to Scottish 10k tomorrow or is there anywhere remotely near I could drive and park? If not I'm guessing the public bus (probably the 26?) is my best option 🤔

Bizarrely I've always driven to Glasgow half / 10K and never had a problem with parking. I choose somewhere half way betwee n start and finish - so between George Square and Glasgow Green. e..g near Barras. Free parking on a Sunday. Usually a mile walk to start ditto from finish. Ideal! Get there nice and early, enjoy atmos, have a coffee. Have a great one pz! G
