Ongoing work issues? What are they, PK: Burrell related? Is there still parking? Although last couple of times, I parked in the wide open spaces ootside.

I ran Victoria one NYD when they set a record of, I think, 400. Ok, but ... And where would everybody park? They had issues before. (I parked over at Whiteinch library.). It may be that ideal parkrun that people don't drive to so much.

I like Drumpellier a lot :-) It's an almost idealised parkrun course.

Falkirk Ultra on Sunday, if anyone wants to watch people run in circles for eight hours. It is actually quite jolly.

Yeah, the Burrell work is still ongoing. It will also be affected I'm sure (although to what degree is not clear yet) with the proposed changes to the Park itself. I, like you, park outside (unless I'm running down) but the carpark can be a bit of a nightmare.

Victoria is the same and I know they've had problems with inconsiderate parkers annoying the locals. I'm not of the opinion that the locals have more rights than the Parkrunners, it's a open road after all, but when you start to block driveways and park illegally on corners, that is not on.

Good luck on Sunday, hope the weather is better than forecast :) I've got a 16 mile training run to do (but that won't take me 8 hours thankfully).

For the avoidance of doubt, I'd be spectating on Sunday. If I tried a sixteen mile training run just now, it might take me eight hours ;-)

_andy is doing Falkirk, I think. Enjoy spectating Dv. I'll be at Forfar for my 10th (I think or maybe 9th?) Multi Terrain half marathon. It's very silly! :-) G

The entrance at Pollokshaws West train station is now closed so no through route to the Burrel car park. Plenty parking outwith the park but seems to be enough to affect the numbers a bit.

We are spoilt for choice though so the Pollok course isn't going to attract the numbers it used to.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
If anyone really likes the Fort William parkrun course you can now spend 24 hours doing loops of it in October (with a wee bonus mile at the west end of the course). That would be a lot of undulations!

No word if the race will include 9.30am on Saturday, but it might be worth bringing your barcode!

Think it's a 12 noon start, so you could do parkrun to familiarise yourself with the course :-P

I'm familiar enough with those undulations! Getting slower each time I've done the course.
