Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was thinking along the lines of the Saxon Shore logo for sure, even if the "official" logo does look rather viking in flavour!

Do you mind me asking how much is going to charity? Have you committed to a certain percentage or will it just be what's left over or are you keeping a profit? The website is unclear about that.

There is certainly nothing going to "profit"... We're aiming that of the £40 entry fee at least £15 is going to charity and £25 being spent on the runners, we may be able to make it more a £17.50/£22.50 when we get everything sorted out as we we're working on a little sponsorship too, but it will be in that area. I'm looking to raise £2500 ultimately for the Brathay Trust as part of the 10 in 10 I intend to run in 2012. And rather than just say "please give us money" we're trying to put on several events to raise the funds so people are getting something in return for their hard earned cash... of secondary importance is that we're trying to fill a "hole" in the long distance calendar, with Luton moving forwards, and Portsmouth backwards, there is very little going on in December.

Have the 10 in 10 entries been confirmed for 2012 already? I didn't even know they were taking entries.

Naomi, yes they're taking entries, PM me if you want an entry form!! Foxy D and myself already submitted, they're confirming the first draft of entrants in May and then a second draft in September (or so)... if I don't get in then I'll just use the money raised for things like this towards another runners fund raising total, so one way or another they'll receive it as part of the 10 in 10
