The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

As you may have seen on main Podcast thread, Fetch and Katie have sadly had to hang up their microphones, as recording AND editing and uploading Podcast every week was taking up too much time.

But... nooooo! We love the podcast. Is there any chance we could keep it going with the Fetch Family?

Any volunteers for editing and uploading a FetchFam community takeover of the podcast? Anyone any good with a computer etc?

Maybe a monthly "rota" like we do on some of the tracker threads?

Guest editor could choose any content they want! Record yourself, interview another Fetchie, just read a blog or two, or use recordings sent in by Fetchies. Anything I suppose.

I'm assuming Fetch agrees and allows us to upload it to the same buzzsprout, Apple and Spotify locations etc?

The quality might not be as good as Fetchband Katie's but at least it might limp on? What say you?

I'll put a monthly Guest Editor list on sidebar and then let's see?

I'd happily contribute like I used to if Ian and Katie agree to it all.
However keeping it going could just be a prodding stick to them both that they could do without as they have made the final decision.
It's a shame because I miss them too but can understand the reasoning.

Good point FF, that's not my intention of course, but I will check with Fetch.

Thanks Sam, I'll put up (once I've received Fetch and Katie approval), a request for contributions too.

We could just have it that once 30 mins worth of material arrives, next person on list edits together and uploads. And there's an episode. If the person editing can also contribute then that's fine too.

I'm going to do my first one in a full on Smashie and Nicey style, All Right? Not 'Alf! voice. :-) G

I would be happy to provide audio content or present or interview.

I could probably do editing if someone can talk me through it too. It’s been a good few years since I did any and I’m not sure what software I would use now.

Only if this is not a massive headache for the First Fetch fam

I'm about as technically able as an iceberg, you'd think that I might be less so with the amount of electronics I work with!
I have a few ideas but a lot would depend on what direction if any it goes.

I'll update everyone as soon as I hear back from Fetch and Katie. It might be rougher than the great job that they did. More of a mash up of a few audio clips, rather than the polished, hosted, linked show that they did. But it might still be nice to hear a few Fetchie voices and opinions and stories?

We'll see how it goes! :-) G
