Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

S&C how do you log time?

With running and cycling it is easy to log time?

But with S&C (Strength and Conditioning) to you log active time (which is relatively small) or time from start of the activity until the end including rest between reps?

I log total time for the activity including the rests between reps, though I have a nominal time for my typical session so that if I spend a lot of time between reps messing around on the internet or doing my knitting it doesn't look as if I've done an unusually demanding session.

I log total time too. In fact if I only logged the effort sections of most of my training it would read something like 'Running - Track session - 9 minutes.' Not much cop!

I DO work quite hard - honest.

Total including rests.

But then in running I don't press pause if I stop for a chat either.

Actually, unless you wanted to split out a specific section of a run (which you can do later anyway, with new Fetch split feature!) I don't even know why someone would pause in a run.

If you go into the gym, do stuff, then leave, start at the start and finish at the finish?! :-) G

I log total time but hate this type of stuff so don’t break off for knitting breaks etc but thrash on. Typical session 9 or 10 minutes :-)

I tend to do an hour. If I'm going to get sweaty and have to change might as well make it a reasonable duration. Sometimes only 45 mins. One of the things I like about going to gym is once I'm there I sometimes do 90 mins because I'm there anyway.

Yep, total time for the activity including any rests.

For almost all of it now I log it using my watch as "other" (or using a specific Cross-training app) so I get (semi-accurate) HR data as well as time logged.
