LMH - sounds like a good decision to not run today. You had to stop on Thursday, so trying again today wouldn't have given it much time. Cold and rainy today. I went out for 7m with an absolute max of 10m with more available time, made the 10m but I wouldn't have got much further before it stopped me. So it still needs managing but I'm running freer (closer to 8mm than 9mm now), and today meant 2 days in a row running. So 4 runs,, 2 bike sessions and a turbo. Not sure I can step up to 5 days next week, so maybe the same as this week, but try to add a couple of miles to a couple of the runs, and mid 30s. |

My treadie is old enough to be on antiques roadshow but being gadget free I tend to think there is less to go wrong with it! After a few runs the Garmin works out your treadie stride/pace and then matches the treadie readings very closely. OO61.. congrats on a speedy Parkrun, hope tomorrow's run goes well. Good news on an appointment to investigate your knee. DT19.. that wind was very raw yesterday, definitely 2 layers required. TR.. 10m is a confidence boost for you. Sensible not to push it too hard. The forecast rain/drizzle didn't appear for Parkrun so we got a dry run. The wind had dropped too so conditions ok apart from the cold. 23.15 on the watch, 12 secs quicker than last week which is encouraging. Made it up to 11.6m, got back to the car and the light rain started about 20 minutes later. The rain dodging was a decent bonus! |

Great to see your times coming down Wardi and staying dry is definitely a bonus.

Congratulations on getting hitched @GerardM Great progress at parkrun @wardi & @OO61 Double digit run on a consecutive day sounds positive @TR though I empathise with your frustration that progress has been so slow. Good to see you’re building slowly but surely @TippTop & that your Achilles issues are behind you now @riggys99 Great training execution @DT19 Sorry to hear you’re still confined to the gym @Little Miss Happy Parkrun & XC double after 6 days off for me though I had done 26M on the bike Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday + 20-60 minutes of yoga every day. Parkrun was 21:28 which is my quickest of the year & on a hilly (220’) trail course. Struggled at XC: despite starting slow I got slower. It was hilly (470’) & muddy in places but basically I haven’t done enough miles or longer tempos to deserve a better outcome. Knee sore after but ok during which is decent after almost 11M with almost 8 in races. |

Evening Nice park running FJ (and XC), wardi and OO61 Nice positive week TR Sounds like you are still needing to rest from running LMH. You seeing the physio again soon ? My treadmill is old and quite basic. I have only used it a handful of times it’s more for my wife. Used it the other day as I needed to be at home during the day then was going out for a meal in the evening. Today was first time since October that I did my hill sprint, running drills, hoping and box jumping, strides session. Can tell I have a long time injured but the Achilles stood up to it well. Another 40 mile week even if I don’t run Sunday. |

Not surprised your knee was sore after climbing, slipping and sliding Forest - hope it's settled again. Physio wasn't expecting to need to see me again riggys but we made an appointment for next week in case. |

OO61 - did you make 18? Wardi - that's another double digit day Jools - XC is a tough ask off not much running. Hopefully you can build up a bit more now. Good to have the tready option Riggsy. You must be all good now if you can do that mix of work. LMH - will you see the physio this week. I think I will, and then wait a few weeks before the next one. Turbo today, my hammy was tight after yday, so tomorrows run might roll back to Tues. Wasn't too bad a day for running today, probably as I was a DNS at Goodwood today. |

My appointment is next week TR. Currently thinking I might try a run tomorrow if the hamstring feels as good in the morning as it does currently. Weather forecast isn't exactly conducive but it doesn't look as though it's going to for a while. |

Fair enough, I wondered if you'd bring it fwd after having to stop the other day. One of the few positives of not being able to run far, is you won't be out in the bad weather much. But I'm spending a lot more time on a bike in the cold. Ouch - did you go to the Plymouth game? |
