It will be tomorrow if it happens TT as I'm working Sunday.
If anyone is interested Ashby are releasing 50 places on Monday at 1900hrs - you'll need to be logged in on SI Entries and have fast fingers.

Gerard - hope you had a great day.
TT - that's a good mix
DT - agreed, getting there. To be able to build up I need to be able to run on consecutive days, and keep the healing going. Eventually getting to the point where i can run home in the evening and back again the next morning.
7m again today, no set backs. Will try to run tomorrow which would give 4 days for the week, and importantly running on consecutive days. Imagine doing 4 runs in a week and the total being less than 30m, I usually think a proper run starts at 10m.

TR.. good progress with your steady mileage build up, hope tomorrow goes well. When I started running again post injury I was cautiously hitting 20-30mpw.
Gerard.. have a wonderful day. Tenerife should be lovely when it comes round. It was a very pleasant 20-24 degrees when we were there in December.
Riggys.. some good miles for you this week, hope the treadie run whizzed by.
DT19.. my patented 'no pee' strategy for a marathon is steady sipping pre race but drink nothing in the hour before the race. Good to know you're in a decent start pen.
TT.. a good mix of exercise, you must be pleased to be getting back to it.
5.2m easy this morning, felt colder than the claimed 5 degrees as a raw wind was blowing. Probably do my Parkrun plus a few miles tomorrow, might be a bit wet.

Good work, TT. Have you been asked to go to office more regularly or did you just pop in for a one off?
Enjoy the meal out, Riggsy.
Lmh, I'd have been up for Ashby but checked and clashes with a half mara.
Oo, have you checked whether you can directly refer yourself to physio? Many areas in England you can now, in a drive to reduce use of GP appointments where they are literally a middle man. If you can do that you'll have a physio appointment sooner than 28th.
Wardi, rather you than me in morning. As much as I enjoy a parkrun, on days like tomorrow I'm staying in bed drinking tea!
Tr, yes it's the being able to back it up on days that is the important next step. I work on 8m/1 hour being an entry level proper run.
8m hill surge fartlek lunchtime. Running into wind in early miles was painful. Just been out with dog and it was worst combination of weather. Cold with a stiff north easterly wind and raining.
Mondays missed run mid morning tomorrow to keep my week on schedule.

Bliddy cold here yesterday and not much warmer today Wardi. Hope you're ok for parkrun.
OO61 - my GP has a physio in the practice who can do steroid injections etc. Might be worth checking if yours does? I usually bypass the GP for anything like that as they tend to just refer to physio as a starting point. If that's not an option for you at least you'll be getting the ball rolling soon.
Will you be standing on the side lines somewhere later DT19?
I can definitely feel the hamstring when I stretch it so back to the gym for me today.

You should be careful over stretching it, LMH as you risk breaking back up the scar tissue and opening the injury back up.
Thankfully no fixture today, so lie in then hours run.

Morning all
Sorry to hear the hamstring still causing problems LMH
Nice session yesterday DT the wind definitely had a bite to it.
Hope the GP gets you referred quickly to the physio OO61. In Rotherham we have physio first so when you ring the GP you can ask for that at least for initial assessment.
Hope the Parkrun went well Wardi
Good news TR
Getting a nice mix of training in TT
Bit different doing a treadmill session yesterday. Bit of operator error matching watch to treadmill and the fact session was in min/mile and the treadmill show k/hour so did a session based on HR. Warmup then 1 mile tempo then 3 miles alternating half mile easy half mile tempo. Was ready for the meal out later.

DT19 - when I say stretching it I mean as in bending down to pick something up from the floor. I'm not doing anything my physio hasn't told me to trust me. Getting fed up with it now.
I struggle with treadie maths like that too riggys. What made you resort to the treadie? Not something you often do.
Did my usual gym program and my rehab bookended by a mile of brisk walking on the treadie on an incline. Can really feel the difference between the two hamstrings whilst doing my rehab exercises but promisingly (I hope) it feels better at the end of the session. Monday is my next opportunity for a run.
